I recently had a fascinating conversation with Dr. Mark Hyman on his podcast. Mark shared an idea that really resonated with me — something he calls “Notes from God.”
He described how, as we move through life, we’re constantly given little signs or “notes,” moments where a door opens, and we have the choice to walk through it. The problem is that most of us don’t listen very well. We get busy, distracted, or let fear take over.
Mark talked about how this disconnect manifests in our physical bodies and overall health. When you’re not in dialogue with yourself, you can become sick, numb, and unable to think clearly or feel your best. While I agree with him, his comments resonated with me on more of a spiritual level, highlighting the importance of listening to your heart and to what your higher self is trying to communicate.
But here’s the beautiful part: the notes never stop coming.
Even if you’ve ignored them for years, they’re still being written. And you can start listening anytime! For me, getting into this space is about stillness and a willingness to quiet your mind, open your heart, and tune in. It’s not about chasing perfection. Even when we make mistakes or miss the signs, new notes continue to appear. Life keeps inviting us back.
